Well I am very sorry for the abuse that you suffered. I hope that everything is ok now. The self confidence and life style changes that people have replied to us telling us of all the positives have really helped out others in realizing that martial arts can be a very rewarding sport for all ages. I hope you are now getting out of martial arts what you were looking for.

When I first started in Karate(Issinryu) I wanted nothing more than to kill someone. It wasn't long before I realized that I didn't really want to hurt someone, I just wanted the abused(sexual and physical) that was occurring in my life to end.
I have gone on and earned my black belt in two different styles and am working toward a third in yet another style. I believe that Martial arts is a way of life, that teaches all of the importance of learning who we are and what we truly want in life.
